The Akesson chocolate comes from the Bejofo Estate plantation in the Sambirano Valley in Madagascar. The valley is located in the north west of the island and covers about 2300 hectares. Cocoa has been grown there since 1920. In addition to 300 tons of Trinitario beans, an additional 2 tons of Criollo cocoa beans are produced annually. These beans have a very expressive aroma.

 

This 75% Chocolate made from Trinitario cocoa beans has a strong cocoa aroma with notes of fruity-sweet acidity and aromas of red berries. Here in combination with pink pepper , the one on Akesson's own pepper Plantation in Madagascar is growing.
